I'd be "Naive"......

Written by KymSara Rayna

Every once in a while we come around a SL corner and discover a bit of a treasure that has been there right in front of us all along, but took forever to find. So it was with my encounter with Naive, a clothing store owned by designer Leah McCullough.

KymSara Naive

This totally delightful shop has been around since March 2008! I got a tip about it from my big Sis Beulah, and dropped by. Am I ever glad I did! Leah has thoughtfully set up what has to be one of the best shopping environments in all of SL. Naive is so well laid out! The ever changing displays provide a detailed view of the array of finely crafted clothes. McCullough offers both Men and Women a wonderful spectrum of style choices ranging from casual to formal. What really caught my attention was the SEPARATES. I was completely taken with the white corduroy pants and picked two of the many lovely tops to pair with them. The cords are delivered in two shapes, tight and loose fitting. I'm wearing the tight version here but, the loose fit is equally attractive and finely detailed. They are available in all the colors you could wish for.

Leah's attention to detail and flexibility of design is exceptional. Even the simple Spring Halter top, shown here in blue, comes with long and short versions, as well as several others layers for matching up with other pieces. The embroidered flower just cried out to be reflected in Petal Meg's Alamanda necklace.

Those cords also go really well with Leah's Royal Club Shirt (here in yellow) and the Aurora Borealis Juicy Citron Vintage Bead Earrings are a perfect color match. I suppose these outfits could go well with flat sandals (but you know Kymmie always prefers heels), and Zhao's Sadie seem the perfect choice for a special o
occason lunch at the club. It may have taken me a long time to discover Naive, but it won't be long before I get back there!

KymSara Rayna "Dance with Me"

Today is a special day for me as my sister KymSara Rayna will be joining the "Spotlight on Fashion" with an occasional blog of her favorite finds. Here is her first post...

Dance with me!

With a bit of time between RL meetings today, I just had to explore the Fashion Expo. There are so many delightful things to see from some really terrific designers. And of course, it is an opportunity to join your fellow SL citizens in supporting one of our most important fund drives - the Relay for Life, benefiting the American Cancer Society. Among all the attractive little shops, it was SySy Chapman's who caught my attention first. Tucked away in a corner of her Expo display is this flirty little dress called "Dance with Me" And dance it does! SySy has expertly set the skirt to swirl and move with you in a way that will have you in the spotlight of your favorite dance floor.

Dance with me!

Trimmed with a touch of gold lace at the neckline and hem, only the most delicate jewelry is needed to compliment its soft lines. To accentuate the look I chose the Golden Essence necklace, earrings and bracelet from LuarelRose. For shoes, the Baba Yaga Scherherazade pumps from Enkythings seem made to match with the subtle wine red and gold trim. SySy offers this little dress in your choice of four colors. However, selecting only one might present a challenge!
